The Sunshine Tennis Club was established 20 years ago. The site was originally vacant land next to the Sunshine Holiday Centre (now Howrah Recreation Centre and Howrah Bowls Club).

Initially 5 synthetic grass courts were installed and a 20 year dream was realised in August 2008 when the club opened its 6th court.

The Sunshine Tennis Club currently has 607 financial members and is constantly growing. New members are always welcome, join up now.
Many members regularly participate in weekly organised tennis groups and inter-club pennants as well as social and fundraising events for the club.

Great news the Hitting Wall is being built.

We have received a $22 000 grant from Sport and Recreation Tasmania to help with this project.

We thank all members for their support with their kind donations so far.

The playing surface will also incorporate a mini Hot Shots court and the area will also be fenced.
